Singapore Alumni Association The Singapore Alumni Association was launched in 2016 by Chris Pardey and has since held numerous events. These have included events such as professional networking when Vice-Chancellor Julia Buckingham visited Singapore in 2016, 2017 and 2018 as well as an arts and crafts activity as part of One World Week at Brunel. Chris is also a Trustee of the , a charity which aims to improve the lives of persons living with disabilities in Bali and East Indonesia, by using the power of sport and play for development, health and peace. This charity has given Brunel students the opportunity to volunteer in Bali to support events such as Para games Championships and Wheelchair Rugby Tournaments. In 2020, Laurence Barrett, an Alumni Association member, volunteered to launch Brunel University’s ‘Lockdown Learning’, a series of alumni webinars to support and inspire people through Covid-19. Laurence’s webinar focused on Digital Nomads: Becoming a Stronger and More Efficient Remote Worker using his experience as a global business leader of Barrett Aerospace. You can watch the session .
