The theme for Made in Brunel 2024 - Brunel’s annual design exhibition - was launched with a bang last week when ‘Interaction’ was revealed at the brand’s launch event on campus.
Made in Brunel is a well-established brand and exhibition that highlights the talent and innovation of Brunel University London’s final-year design students as they showcase and celebrate their final-year projects.
Each year, Made in Brunel students create a sub-brand and theme for the event, which steers their designs and gives each exhibition a fresh new look and feel.
The 2024 brand and theme were launched with a bang last Wednesday, as confetti cannons and balloons were released in Brunel’s Michael Stirling Atrium to mark and celebrate Made in Brunel’s best kept secret – ‘Interaction’.

“Interaction is at the heart of design. It's about meaningful connections, innovative collaborations and making every interaction count,” said Tia Phillips, a product design engineering student who is also co-director for this year’s event.
“We embody 'Interaction' - dynamic, unified, evolving, inspiring and visionary,” said Tia, highlighting the five brand values of Interaction.

Co-director and product design engineering student, Sean Heaney explained that 'Interaction' isn't just a theme, but it’s a strategy to engage more design disciplines and creative agencies with Made in Brunel - and a way to expose the brand to a broader spectrum of the design industry.
The annual initiative is a key networking opportunity for students, allowing them to share their ideas and collaborate with industry.
