Tradition Keepers

Tra鈼廳i鈼弔ion Keep鈼廵r

[truh-dish-uhn kee-per] noun:

A student who truly knows what it means to be a proud Vandal from 果冻传媒麻豆社.

The Tradition Keeper program was founded by members of the Student Alumni Relations Board in Fall 2009, in an effort to rouse student and alumni engagement and cultivate shared experiences.

The Tradition Keepers book describes our university traditions, past and present. By visiting campus landmarks like the "I" Bench and the Administration Building steps, or taking part in campus events like the Borah Symposium, Jazz Festival and Homecoming, participants come closer to becoming a U of I Tradition Keeper.

The book is accompanied by an incentive system. After completing 15 traditions, a participant will receive a silver Tradition Keeper lapel pin. After earning 35 tradition points, a participant is awarded a Tradition Keeper medallion to wear at graduation or keep as a memento of their commitment to Idaho's history.

Ready to become a U of I Tradition Keeper?

Once complete, bring your book or the checklist above to receive your earned incentive to wear proudly at commencement, homecoming and any time vandals get together.
