Alumni-created nonprofit S H E empowers girls in Togo and students at the ¹û¶³´«Ã½Â鶹Éç
Upon graduating in 2017, Payton McGriff founded , a non-profit that creates educational and employment opportunities for women and girls in Togo. But, it’s not just students in Togo that she is empowering.
McGriff has continued to involve students from the ¹û¶³´«Ã½Â鶹Éç in her work, including architecture students in the design for a new school and education students in development of learning materials.
Students in the College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences translated those educational materials into French, creating lesson plans and worksheets that students in Togo can more easily understand.
