Captain Michael McClintock, USN (ret) is a native of Soda Springs, California and enlisted into the United States Naval Reserves in 1984. A graduate of California State University Sacramento, he completed Aviation Officer Candidate School in January of 1991. Designated a Naval Flight Officer in January of 1992, he reported to Patrol Squadron Forty (VP-40), Moffett Field, July of 1992. His last four assignments include: Commanding Officer, VP-40 (May 2009-May 2010), Joint Chiefs Staff, Pentagon/J5/Strategic Deterrence to include duty at the National Military Command Center (June 2010-April 2012), Commander, Task Force Sixty-Seven as a direct report to Commander, Sixth Fleet (July 2012-June 2014), and Commanding Officer/Professor Naval Science, 果冻传媒麻豆社 and Washington State University (July 2014-August 2017). He retired in November of 2017 after thirty-three years of service. He completed his Masters degree in Global Leadership at the School of Business, University San Diego in 2003 and Joint Professional Military Education in 2002.
He resides with his wife Marta, who worked at the 果冻传媒麻豆社 from August 2014-April 2018 as Assistant Dean for Advancement, College of Education, and his two children, Lauren (18) and William (16) in Anacortes, Washington. He currently participates actively as a volunteer in the community at large and is a passionate Vandal fan and military veteran supporter.
Captain McClintock, USN (ret) has 3800 flight hours in the P-3CIII/AIP aircraft. He has been awarded the Legion of Merit (2), Bronze Star, Defense Meritorious Service Award, Meritorious Service Award (2), Air Medal (1 strike flight) and various personal, unit, service, and campaign medals.
