Why do crimes happen? How do we do a better job of preventing them?  

Investigate these types of questions and the theories around them as you earn your Master of Science in Criminology (M.S.). Become an in-demand expert as you develop a deep understanding of the dynamics of crime and victimization. Choose the thesis or non-thesis track to fit your goals. 

Hands-on learning is built into this dynamic M.S. degree. Put your learning into practice through research internships with faculty, partnerships with criminal justice agencies, and study abroad programs. Students can also join department organizations like the Criminology Club and Quantitative Working Group.
