Environmental Science, Ph.D.

Explore the intersection of policy and preservation.

Prepare to solve complex environmental problems through integrated and coherent approaches. Explore global environmental challenges as they relate to waste management, environmental pollution, policy and law, water science, ecosystems, land use, energy systems and more. 

Ph.D. students participate in research and seminar presentations and gain hands-on teaching experience. All candidates prepare and defend a formal dissertation reflecting original thought and independent investigation as a final step toward their degree, with the expectation of publication in a peer-reviewed scientific publication.
