Fisheries Science, B.S.

Ensuring healthy fish for the future.

From protecting endangered fish species, to rebuilding fishery stock, to restoring fish habitats, professionals in this field work to support healthy fish resources for the benefit of the economy, food supply, environment, recreation and more.

This program focuses on the conservation and sustainable management of fish in fisheries, hatcheries and other aquatic ecosystems. You will develop a solid science-based foundation with knowledge in fish biology, fish ecology, aquaculture, fishery management and more.

Graduates of this program gain the tools to address important environmental and political issues affecting our world’s fish populations, including governmental mandates, pollution, invasive species, water quality, sport fisheries, natural resource management and more.
