Advising
Students are required to meet their academic advisor a semester earlier than enrollment semester to get their hold taken out. The advising begins after the third week of March for summer or fall semester advising and after third week of October for the following spring semester advising. Each student is responsible to know who their academic advisor is and contact the advisor in time to schedule a one-on-one meeting. Your advisor may send you additional information for you to follow. If you do not know who your academic advisor is, please contact Judy Vandegrift (judyv@uidaho.edu).
Things to do before coming to an advising session:
1. Look at your degree audit by logging into .
2. Your degree audit has information about your catalog year (Usually the semester you first enrolled to the University). Download and print a copy of course sequence following the link below for your catalog year, and mark the courses you have already taken or currently enrolled.

3. Mark the courses you plan to take next semester by looking at the . Make sure the course is offered and you meet the pre-requisite
4. Bring your questions and marked course sequence with you.
5. Talk to your advisor about your career interest and ask about appropriate technical elective course.
For Transfer Students
Follow the link below if you are transferring from one of the following community colleges to Chemical or Biological Engineering. This will provide you with the equivalent courses and four year plan to complete the degree.

General Education Requirements
If you are planning to take Humanities or Social Science class next semester, look at the offered classes from under "General Education Courses." Note that some Humanities and social science classes also satisfies 'American Diversity' or 'International' requirements. It may be advantageous to take those if the topic area interests you.
