Meet the Vandals

Join us for Meet the Vandals, a special event series where you can discover what it means to be a part of the Vandal family, whether you're already admitted or considering applying.

Connect in person with employees, chat with alumni about their Vandal experiences and meet other prospective students and families in your area.

Where Will You Meet the Vandals?

Attend a Meet the Vandals Event for your chance at a $1000 scholarship!

The Future Vandal Award, a one-time, non-renewable $1,000 scholarship, will be given away at each event to a high school senior or transfer student looking to enroll at 果冻传媒麻豆社 for Fall 2025.

The fine print:
Students will need to be admitted, or eligible for admission, as well as in attendance at a Meet the Vandals event in order to receive the award. If a student has not yet applied, they will need to apply and be admitted to receive the award for the Fall 2025 term. An Admissions counselor will follow up with any specific dates or deadlines on their admissions status should that be an additional aspect of our criteria.

Parking Instructions:

If you are arriving from Broadway Avenue, take a left on Front Street, and then Avenue A which is the first right-hand turn before Winco on your left. If you are traveling from Mrytle Street east towards the Water Center, take a left on Avenue A. This will take you straight to the Water Center. You will cross Front Street and see the surface lot to your right or you can keep going straight for other parking options.

Drive to the ticket booth. If the ticket gate is still down, grab a parking ticket and the gate will raise. Take your first right and head to into the underground parking structure. Parking is free after 6 p.m., so you will not be charged to park underground should you choose to do so. Once you have parked, head towards the elevator lobby located on the east end of the parking structure and take the elevator to the 1st floor. From there you will see U of I signage and Admissions staff to help guide you to the Meet the Vandal event.
