UI Extension, Lincoln County works with the following organizations to further community development in the county.
Lost N Lava
In Shoshone, the third weekend of Sept., brings alive western style music with performers of all ages, talented poets and storytellers of glory days. This unique Lincoln County event is a cowboy gathering suited for family and fun entertainment.
Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce
is a viable organization in Shoshone. By promoting tourism in Lincoln County and regionally, businesses and local events such as Shoshone Arts in the Park profit and are able to give back to the community.
Lincoln County Historical Society
The thrives on protecting the rich history of Lincoln County with knowledge of relationships with agriculture, Basque culture, Union Pacific Railroad Company and water history. The historical society does this through the Lincoln County Museum which is open May through October.
