Vandal Healing Garden and Memorial

The Vandal Healing Garden and Memorial on the Moscow campus honors all Vandal students who passed away while they were enrolled at ¹û¶³´«Ã½Â鶹Éç.

As a permanent space for quiet reflection, remembrance, hope and healing, the Vandal Healing Garden and Memorial is open and welcoming for all who visit, all year round.

Student-Led, Community-Engaged Design

Creating the Vandal Healing Garden and Memorial was truly a collaborative, holistic effort — conceptualized by students in the landscape design and architecture programs; guided by a committee of fellow students and employees; and inspired by community input.

It is located on MacLean Field between the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences building and the Physical Education building.

The Vandal Healing and Memorial Garden was officially opened during a dedication ceremony on Aug. 21, 2024. It incorporates intimate and shared moments of reflection and interaction that evoke a sense of security, foster hope and provides a place that has a lasting presence on the Moscow campus.

The garden was paid for from generous donations and in-kind support. for ongoing maintenance and enhancements of the garden.
