Annual Required Training
Employee Responsibilities
All employees will automatically be enrolled and receive an email with access details. Training is delivered through Bridge@UofI. To comply with state and federal requirements as well as university policy, the following individuals must complete training on specific topics:
- All regular faculty and staff
- Temporary faculty and staff
- Student employees (including graduate students) with appointments longer than three months
This training must be completed within 30 days from the date of assignment to fulfill your annual requirement.
It is the responsibility of each employee to complete annual required training. Employees who do not complete the training by the deadline will not have met their job expectations. Beginning Nov. 13, 2024, any employees who have not completed training within the 30-day timeline assigned to them will receive an “overdue” message upon log-in indicating all systems other than access to email and the Bridge training system are blocked until the training is complete. These employees will be reassigned from their normal duties to complete the mandatory training. System access will be restored upon completion of all required training; however, the restoration period may take several hours. For more details, please .
Supervisor Responsibilities
Supervisors are responsible for monitoring their employees’ training completion. Bridge will send weekly Manager emails notifying supervisors of reports with overdue or imminently overdue courses. Completion can be monitored in real time using Bridge Analytics; instructions can be found in the Bridge@UofI Manager Guide.
