Ambassador-led Workshops

Ambassador-led workshops are organized and overseen by the Martin Institute as part of the 果冻传媒麻豆社ing Distinguished Practitioner of International Affairs series, with content delivered by the ambassadors based on their experience in the State Department and in countries around the world. Most focus on how U.S. interests and foreign policy aims intersect with national priorities in the countries in which they served. The regional focus dovetails with the country assignment for the U of I delegation to the National Model United Nations Conference.

These workshops include:

  • U.S. Diplomacy in South Asia (Amb. Nancy J. Powell, Spring 2022)
  • American Diplomacy in Africa (Amb. Robert Jackson, Spring 2021)
  • American Diplomacy in East Asia (Amb. Kristie Kenney, Spring 2019)
  • American Diplomacy in the Middle East (Amb. Maura Connelly, Spring 2018)
