Gardening Program
The UI Extension, Fort Hall Reservation office offers a wide variety of horticultural programming. All of our classes are hands-on so participants can return home and actually implement practices taught in class. Classes have included:
- Planting windbreaks
- Designing outdoor floral pots
- Planting gardens
- Watering lawns correctly
Fort Hall Reservation Community Garden
The Fort Hall Reservation Community Garden infrastructure was completed in spring 2014. Through IFFT grant funds, we were able to hire a contractor to haul soil and compost to a selected garden location in Fort Hall. The ground was leveled, a water system installed and walkways as well as fencing were constructed.
Our community members and families continue to enjoy the use of this beautiful garden.
