What Are Strengths?
Research shows time and time again that the following eight strengths help folks get through tough times: family support, positive friends, mentors, healthy activities, generosity, spirituality, physical health and mental health. We celebrate the strengths we have in our lives while also working on enhancing strengths we think will help us!
What Is the Podcast About?
Students talk about practical ways they can use their strengths to help them get through different experiences that college students may face. From exams to break time, loneliness and more, we hear what helps students take on common challenges. You will hear who and what students rely on to navigate their time at U of I.
How Can I Be on the Podcast?
We would love to hear about your strengths! Email us and get connected with our podcast group. Students who will be on the podcast will get a brief overview and will chat through safe messaging practices before appearing on the podcast. Recording sessions usually run about an hour to an hour-and-a-half.
