Manage Your Award

Administration of a sponsored project is the joint responsibility of the principal investigator, the departmental grant administrator and the post-award and financial units of the Office of Sponsored Programs. Please take the time to review the Roles and Responsibilities Matrix, the appropriate FAQs and Chapter 45 of the Administrative Procedures Manual (under revision) for a full understanding of your responsibilities.

Remember that although PIs and Project Managers work very closely with each other all contractual changes such as time extensions, additional funding, scope of work change, change in PI, rebudgeting when limited by sponsor, etc., must be requested in VERAS through the Office of Sponsored Programs and agreed to by an authorized signing official of the sponsoring agency in order to be enacted.
