The ARI Nutritional Service Center began as a natural extension of the Aquaculture Research Institute, which provides contractual research in all areas of fish nutrition and physiology. In 2015, it became an established ¹û¶³´«Ã½Â鶹Éç service center, providing analytical nutritional services and expert consulting in the area of fish feeds and ingredients to both internal and external customers. While that remains a significant part of our mission, we have grown into a trusted provider of an array of nutritional services for customers with broad needs, whether it be feed and ingredient analysis or the nutritional composition of animal and insect tissues. Our quality nutritional services provide an incredible value backed by an internationally recognized aquaculture nutrition program.

The College of Natural Resources; Aquatic Animal Laboratory (CNR-AAL) support research activities and training on Aquaculture, Fish Health and Aquatic sciences. The facility comprises 3200 sq. feet of experimental space with an open large area for general fish care and large scale experiments, 4 isolation rooms, storage areas for tools, and freezers for samples and fish feed. The facility is supplied with specific pathogen free (SPF) dechlorinated municipal water available on-demand at ambient, chilled or heated temperature. Each isolation room has independently controlled personnel access and programmable light (photoperiod) and air temperature cycles and has access to any combination of on-demand water from each of the three water systems for controlled temperature experiments. The isolation rooms provide modular tank systems to allow complex experimental designs including randomization of temperature and treatment.
